Barbara Jean Adams, 72, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Barbara was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Vivian Ruth Popp Bedell and William Edwin Bedell. She was retired from the Clark County Indiana School System and the Clarksville Tennessee School System. She was a member of Northside Christian Church and enjoyed gardening, reading, crafting and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Gwen Bedell Hardy.
Barbara is survived by her son, Troy Adams (Laura); a daughter, Kelly Adams; two grandsons, Henry Adams and Harrison Adams; a sister, Amy McIntyre (Brad); two nieces Brett McIntyre and Lana McIntyre; and a number of cousins.
Memorial Visitation will be from 11:00 to Noon on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with a memorial service to celebrate her life beginning at Noon at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Clark County Indiana YMCA where she participated and enjoyed multiple activities with friends.
