Anna Mae Shuck Flora

A Memorial Mass for Anna Mae Flora, 88, of Sun City Center, Florida will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 25, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 415 E. Eighth Street, New Albany. Anna chose the dignity of cremation and will be interred at Cave Hill Cemetery at a later date. She was a native of New Albany and died August 26, 2014 in Sun City Center, Florida.

The daughter of the late Bonnie (Thompson) Shuck and Huber Shuck, Anna was born February 17, 1926 in Corydon, Indiana. She retired to Florida in 1985 and continued working in Florida until age 83. She belonged to local dance clubs, enjoyed traveling and loved her family and many friends.

Survivors include her son, Gregory Flora and his wife, Cyndi, of Marietta, GA; daughter, Jacqueline Deuser of New Albany; grandchildren, Scott Striegel of Southlake, TX and Laurie Striegel of Clarksville, IN; great grandsons, Mason A. Brian, Christian Coomer and Jordan O’Neal; siblings, Faye Linn-Thomas of Seffner, FL, June Vogt of Floyds Knobs, IN and Frank Shuck of Lenoir City, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall E. Flora, Jr.; her parents; daughter, Marsha Striegel; grandson, Todd Striegel; granddaughter, Gina Brian; sister, Joyce Ballard; and brother, Thomas Shuck.
