Ann Van Ness

Ann Van Ness, 81 years of age passed away at home on August 25, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 24, 1941 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Isaac and Roxie Hatfield. Ann retired from Pillsbury in New Albany after 35 years and then worked for Wooded Glen Retreat Center for 15 years. She was an active member of Northside Christian Church and along with her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Van Ness; and son-in-law, Tom F. Bailey, III. She is survived by her children, Marsha Lamb, Nancye Bailey, Shannon Van Ness (Cindy); grandchildren, Ambere Feller, Justin Lamb, Brittany Sheckles, Akira Pugh, Shannon J. Van Ness II, Nina Schindler; and 15 great grandchildren. A visitation for Ann will be held 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday and 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
