Ann Lowell Hamby King passed away on February 17, 2017. Resident of Westminster Village in Clarksville, Indiana, Ann was a longtime resident of Beaumont, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Woodie Hamby; brother, Winston Hamby; and her husband of fifty-eight years, Sidney Allen King, Sr. Survivors include daughter, Karen King (spouse Carolyn Forsyth) of Michigan; son, Sidney King (spouse Evelyn Loehrlein) of Indiana; grandsons, John, Mike, and Jerry Davenport; and other family.
Ann was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on January 21, 1932. She graduated from South Park High School, earned a bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian University, and a master's degree from Lamar University. For many years, she was a beloved first grade teacher in the public schools and Christian Schools of Beaumont. She and her husband were longtime members of Ridgewood Church of Christ in Beaumont and she was a member of the Charlestown Road Church of Christ in New Albany.

A memorial service and concert will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Westminster Village in Clarksville, Indiana. Burial will be at a later date at Forest Lawn Park in Beaumont, Texas.
