Alma M. Lenfert Henry

Alma L. (Lenfert) Henry, 92, died Sunday, October 15, 2017. The daughter of the late Bernard H. and Othilia (Andres) Lenfert, Alma was born October 21, 1924 in New Albany. She was a charter member of Holy Family Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Glenn E. Henry; sister, Jane Holtz; and brothers, Paul and Leo Lenfert. Alma loved her family, basketball, euchre, music, learning new things, and praying to the blessed Holy Family. The family would like to thank Diversicare Providence and the Eucharistic ministers and friends from Our Lady of Perpetual Help for the wonderful care extended to their mother.

Survivors include her children, Mark Henry (Brenda), Karen Johnson (Stewart), Phillip Henry (Talara), and James Henry (Beth Ann); sister, Rosalie Swadish; brother, Robert Lenfert; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 3 pm ~ 7 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be 10 am Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, New Albany.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Holy Family Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Riley Children’s Hospital Pediatric Orthopedic Unit, or Diversicare Providence Social Activities Program.
