Allan Herman

Allan Herman, 81, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany. He was born December 21, 1932 in New Albany to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Voigner) Herman. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Velma Frakes. He raised his family with his wife in Clarksville before moving to Florida after retiring from his career as a cartographer with the Army Mapping Service. Recently, he and Dorothy moved back to a house in Greenville. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Wife of 62 years: Dorothy (DeCamp) Herman

Sons: Steve Herman and his wife Janice

Mark Herman and his wife Sherry

8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
