It is with so much sadness in our hearts, that we announce the tragic passing of Wade De Meyer on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the age of 34, born April 24, 1980.
Left to mourn his passing are his parents Brian and Dianne De Meyer, Krystal Anne De Meyer (sister), Randy De Meyer (uncle), Maurice and Joyce Gobeil (uncle and aunt, also Godparents); and great uncle and aunts; cousins Curtis Gobeil (Lynn), Janell Reinek (Eric), Dianne Gobeil and all their children and many more cousins; and lifelong friends Duane Wright and Cory Oliver and so many others.
Wade touched the lives of so many people. He was compassionate, opinionated and loving in all he did. He had his own unique sense of humor that made him Wade. He was dubbed as Wade the “prankster” as he really enjoyed making you laugh or get a rise out of you. Wade was a self-taught person; he could see something done once and was able to repeat the task perfectly. He could look at things, see the problem, and then fix it.
Wade enjoyed comedy and horror movies, snowmobiling and being with his friends.
Many thanks to all the people who have been calling every day. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of his many friends who have been posting their thoughts, feelings and pictures on Facebook. We certainly see how much Wade was loved by those who knew him. We appreciate your feelings more than words can say.
We wish to thank the EMS personal that were on the accident site and Duane Wright who tried everything he could and held his best friend in his arms till the end. Wade was not alone.
Extended thanks to Concordia emergency staff for their understanding and warmth they gave us.
Wade, you will be in our hearts, minds and missed forever. Stiffler (boobie) (pug) will miss how you teased and played with him.
Rest peacefully our beautiful son, rest peacefully.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Interment to follow.
