A brilliant mind hijacked by a horrible disease. A difficult life, well lead, but you stayed the course and for that we are eternally grateful. Be at peace.
On May 31, 2018 Suzanne Marie Hansen, with her sister by her side, slipped peacefully from this world to join her parents and niece in the next life.
Suzanne was born January 18, 1950 to Arthur Hansen and Florence Hansen (nee Letain) and was soon followed by her sister Arlene and brother Tom.
The family spent their early years in Kenora where Suzanne excelled in school and sports. During the time in Kenora she was given the Mensa IQ test and found to be in the top 2%. The family eventually moved to Winnipeg in 1960.
Suzanne was predeceased by her father Arthur John Hansen, her mother Florence Marie Hansen (nee Letain) and her niece Sara Lynn Anderson.
Left to cherish her memories are her sister Arlene Anderson, brother in law Jim and niece Karen Anderson, and her brother Tom Hansen and partner Ivy Purdy, and nieces Meghan and Heather and nephew Matthew.
A celebration of Suzanne’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 21 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to do so, can make a memorial donation to the Patient Entertainment Fund at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre.
