It is with deep sadness that the family of Roy Lamy announce his passing on August 29, 2017. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Albertine Lamy, brother Camille and wife Edna. He leaves to mourn daughter Charlene (Rod), granddaughters Erika and Rebecca, brother Lou (Marion), nieces and nephews. Roy was passionate about golf and he was fortunate enough to have two hole-in-ones; a high-light to his golf career. He had a special place in his heart for his dogs, which were a joy in his life.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Riverview Health Centre’s B1 unit, who with their compassion and kindness created a home for him.
Cremation has taken place at his request. A private family service will follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, a donation can be made in his memory to Riverview Health Centre, The Humane Society, or to The Salvation Army.
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am soft starts that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not here. I did not die.
