Robert Wayne Payonk

December 6, 1958 – March 20, 2014.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rob, aged 55 years following a 3-month courageous battle with illness.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Michelle Vandal; step-daughters Amy, and Amber; step son Adam (Lauren); his father Wally (Del); brother Greg (Gwen) and their children, Zach and McKenna; sister Carol Pelland (Marcel), and their children, Sara and Logan; his nephew, Steve (Nadine); and precious grand-children Deseray, and Cole. He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia and brother Gary.

The family would like to thank the staff at both HSC and St. Boniface Hospitals for all their care and compassion.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday March 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy # 1 at Navin Road. There will be a private family interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the HSC Foundation of Manitoba, or the Saint Boniface Hospital Foundation.
