Renald Andre Joseph Sarrasin

Following a lengthy battle with illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Renald Sarrasin with his children lovingly by his side on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the age of 65 years old at Grace Hospice.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many left to cherish his memory.

Renald is survived by children Andre, Brigitte and Raymond. Grandchildren Lynne, Jerome, Damien and Misan. Great-Grandchild Maddax. Brothers Emil, Claude, Denis, Roland and Michel. Sisters Yvonne, Cecille, Evelyn, Jeannine, Rachelle, Louise and Bernice along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents Florent and Irene, and sister Jeannette.

Renald enjoyed always being busy. He loved working with his hands and was known by many as a builder of homes. He was one of the kindest, gentle, caring and generous soul. He was selfless and humble. He always made time for family and friends and loved all children in his life including numerous foster children over the years. He happily volunteered for many organisations including but not limited to The Knights of Columbus and the local Scouts group.

A Celebration of Life is being held on Sunday October 22, 2023, at 2:00pm at

Archwood Community Center

565 Guilbault St.

Winnipeg, Manitoba

A Private Family burial will take place on a separate date.

The family thanks everyone for the caring words and loving stories that brightened these somber times. We would also like to thank the many care givers who our dad liked to “brighten their days”.

He will be missed!
