Ray was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and lived in St. Boniface during his childhood and young adult years. He met and married Pauline in 1964. Between 1965 and 1972 they had three children, two sons and a daughter. During the course of his life, Ray worked as a milkman, warehouse delivery man for florists’ shops and delivered papers for the Winnipeg Free Press. He was well known for being punctual as well as reliable. He enjoyed Sunday dinners at his parents’ home with Pauline and his children. Ray loved watching his children play. Ray and Pauline’s joy increased with the arrival of their grandchildren, Austin, Connor and Tyler. During Ray’s retirement his passion was for hockey and being a fan of the
Winnipeg Jets. He was called “Coach” because he knew so much about all aspects of the game and the team. In the end, with his family around him, Ray peacefully left this world.
