Surrounded by the love of her daughters, Stephon, Desiree, Claudette, Virginia, and granddaughter Charné, Lynette Ellis passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 80 on Friday, November 22, 2013. She has gone to be in the arms of her God and her beloved husband Patrick Ellis. Lynette is survived by her loving children and sons-in-law: Stephon – Pam (Rudi), Desiree (Murray), Claudette, Virginia (Paul), Charles and Barbara. She will be greatly missed by her many grandchildren including Livona and Charné, great-grandchildren, and two sisters in the UK (Jaunice and Bridgit). She also leaves her sister and brother in the USA (Joyce and Phillip), nieces and cousins in Guyana, and remaining families and friends.
Lynette was born on April 18, 1933, the daughter of Phillip Cartwright Wilson and Josephine Sam, in the country of Georgetown, Guyana. She immigrated to London England, where she obtained her nursing degree. When she came to Winnipeg Canada she was employed at St Boniface General Hospital.

Viewing will be held on Friday November 29th at 6:30 – 7:30 pm in Green Acres Funeral Chapel #1 Highway East at Navin Road. The funeral service will be held Saturday November 30, at 2 pm at St Bartholomew Anglican Church, 881 Autumnwood Dr, (Windsor Park), (204) 257-8594, with Father Lee Titterington officiating. Friends may pay their respects one-half hour prior to the funeral service. The interment will take place in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. A reception for the family and friends will follow in the Heritage Room in Green Acres Funeral Home.
