We praise and thank God for the life of Lorraine Turton who peacefully passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021
She will be lovingly missed by her brother Olaf William Werner (Rebecca), her nephew Dennis Eric, niece Janet (Larry) and their respective children Korie and Courtney Werner, Casey and Lucas Stadnyk and her close relatives and friends.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Edward Curtis Turton and her brother Eric Alfred Werner.
Lorraine completed her high school at North Thalberg and then worked at Sovereign Life Insurance Co. in Winnipeg for many years until the company transferred to Eastern Canada. She was also employed by the Winnipeg Free Press.
On November 23, 1957, she married Edward Curtis Turton, from Swan River, Manitoba. Edward was a Postal Clerk at the Winnipeg Post Office, where he worked for more or less 30 years.
They enjoyed travelling and have spent vacations in Europe extensively, in Middle East, Australia, Mexico, Cuba, Japan, Jamaica, Hawaii and other interesting and exciting places in U.S.A.
Lorraine and Edward were members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Winnipeg. They were happily married for 58 years and lived for many years in their house in Tralee Place in St. Vital, Winnipeg, until they finally moved to an apartment in St. Anne' s Rd. St. Vital.
