Leon was born in Stony Mountain, Manitoba on August 3, 1922.
He is survived by his four daughters Anna Aubin (Leo with sons Paul (Tara) and Michael (Stacey) and children Danika, Isabella and Lily), Shirley Kizlik (Jim), Evelyn Torwart (Terry with sons Brett (Rosie) and Ian), and Bernice Derksen (Eldon and daughter Kristine).
Leon’s primary employer was Royal Dairies where he started as a home delivery milk man and then became the head yogurt maker. He was a lifelong member of the Belgian Club, he curled until his late eighties and was an avid bowler (five pin, ten pin and Belgium).
The family wishes to thank the staff at Concordia Place for the great care and support during his short stay.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home.
