Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Karen Cann (Len), son Kevin Cook (Lynne), granddaughters Cherie Smith, Stephanie Miller (Christian Bernard), great-grandkids Karianna Smith, Sophie Bernard and Brody Bernard. He was predeceased by wife Arlene, grandson Tyson Cook, his parents Casper and Margaret, and in-laws Clifford and Virginia Fennell.
Ken was born in Minnedosa and started his long career with the CPR at an early age. Over the years he was stationed at many small towns around Manitoba, one of which was Winnipeg Beach where he met his wife, Arlene. Over the next seventeen years they were stationed in several communities and finally settled in Winnipeg in 1972. It's no wonder why Ken and Arlene were leaders when it came to traveling, leading the way to adventures in different parts of the world. Many wonderful memories and life long friends were made along their journey.
Ken was a soft hearted man who loved life. He enjoyed participating in sports and was very competitive right up until a few short years ago.
Memories of Ken will live on with all the lives he touched.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank all the staff in the St. Luke's unit at Holy Family Home for taking such outstanding care of him during his stay and final days.
