Gordon Robert Wolansky

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Wolansky on October 9, 2022.

Gord was a loving husband to his wife Antonia (Toni) until her passing in February 2013. He took great pride in being a husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Left to cherish his memory are his three children; Russell (Wendy), Kim (Brian), Karen and also Ron, and his precious grandchildren Cortney (Mitch), Adrien and Evan. Dad was thrilled to become a great-grandpa (Gigi) to sweet little Jordyn and always looked forward to speaking to her on the phone or seeing her on FaceTime. Also left to mourn are his two sisters, Marlene and Claudia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Gord was predeceased by his parents Michael and Beatrice Wolanski. He had a very close bond to his siblings and was devastated when he lost his brothers Leonard (Shirley) in 2018, and Wayne (Donna) in 2022.

The family would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to his caregivers at Maples Personal Care Home for their exceptional care, and although he kept them on their toes they were like his second family. Also, we would like to thank Seven Oaks Hospital for all their efforts and support offered in the short time he was there.

As per Gord’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal services.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hemophilia Society of Manitoba.

Dad, we will love you forever.

We will miss your voice and your smiles and most of all we will miss the visits with you in person and over the phone.

You have taken a piece of our hearts away with you and that void will never be filled.

We love you dad, please rest peacefully and take good care of Mom xo
