Stuart passed away with family by his side at the age of 96. He was predeceased by his wife Betty in 2001, his son Don in 2006, three brothers, Calvin, Vernon and Russell, as well as two sisters, Margaret and Velma. Stuart will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Lois Lang; his granddaughter Kelly Lang of Calgary; his grandson Darren Lang (Crystal); his great-grandson Ryan; three brothers, Ross, Roy (Jean) and Morris (Alvina); his sister Joyce, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Stuart was born and raised on a farm in Ridgeville, MB. He was the second oldest of ten children. Stuart served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. After the war he returned to the family farm. In 1966 he made Winnipeg his final home. Stuart's positive energy and generous heart made him loved by all. He had a wonderful smile and a witty sense of humour. Stuart led a diverse life and continued to be very active as a senior. He was a talented curler and also enjoyed playing horseshoes. Stuart took pleasure tending to his various gardens, playing cards, pool, singing, visiting with friends, watching sports and volunteering. Family was of great importance to Stuart and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. A service celebrating Stuart's life will be held on Tuesday, January 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Dr. What the caterpillar perceives is the end, to the butterfly is just the beginning.
