July 10th, 1927 - December 27th, 2011

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Diana Blahnik on Tuesday Dec.

27th, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital.

Known to many friends and family as" Mama Bear", she will be lovingly remembered by her 3 sons, Wayne

(Lynne), Frank (Diane), Doug ( Suzanne), grandchildren, Tricia (Michael), Tyler, ( Stephanie), Deanna ( Don),

David (Tara), Jordan (Cari), Joe, Sarah, and great-grandchildren, Braeden, Madison, Annika, Brielle, and

Carmelo as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Diana was predeceased by her parents Pete and Albertine Ducharme, her stepmother Margaret, and

her husband Edward (The Bear) Blahnik in 1998.

Diana loved life, her family and friends. She enjoyed music and loved to sing and dance She was an

excellent 5 pin bowler in her day and worked at The Bay downtown for 25 years after "raising" her boys.

A Mass and celebration of Diana's life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr., Winnipeg.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the doctors and staff on 6E at St. Boniface Hospital and

her Homecare Workers for their compassion and excellent care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of MB., 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB., R3L 0K6.
