My cousin was the sweetest friend and personality. He was often called Mono by his loved ones. I believe my uncle Alfredo gave him the nickname, which was out of great love for him. Mono used to suck his index finger and middle as a child and  then folded his ear into the opening to his ear canal rocking back and forth. Even though both his parent’s were present always, my cousin felt the  need to comfort himself in his own way, never bothering anyone.  He was a very independent child and later adult. He was a happy person and a very over protective brother to Lucy and all the female members of his family. Tia Silvia was always proud of her boy’s, loving them without judgment.. God knows my cousin  will always shine in perpetual grace and love until we all meet again... I love you my ever so handsome, dearest, beloved husband.  My heart is broken and will never heal.  I know we had our ups and downs but always came out on top and always worked it out.  You were one of a kind and can never be replaced.  You were always a hard worker and didn’t ever rely on anyone to fix anything.  You worked so hard to buy our house so we can grow old in it but you have been taken from us so soon.  Now I can’t create more memories with you.  This is not how I envisioned our life to be by being without you.  It won’t be the same with you gone.  I miss you so deeply and will never stop loving, missing, thinking about you.  I know you are with mom and dad now watching over us.  I know you fought hard and I know your no longer in pain but it will be impossible not having you by my side all the time.  I will no longer get to come home and tell you about my day at work.  I will no longer get to tell you who made me mad driving to and from work and home.  I will longer have you there to tell me I need to do my homework.  I will no longer have you there to tell me what foods you wanted me to cook for the holidays and birthdays.  I will no longer hear your loud laugh and listen to your jokes.  I will no longer get to wake up next to you and see your smiling face.  I will longer get to hold you and feel your touch.  I will longer have your big arms wrapped around me to comfort me when I’m having a bad day.  I will longer feel your lips and kisses.  I will longer hear your calm voice.  I know I need to be strong but I don’t have you my other half to get me through it.  Rest with the angels and god.  Until we meet again my sweet and loving husband...

I’ll never understand why you had to leave us and this earth so soon. We are all missing you dearly brother. I’ll always remember how you laughed at all the dumb things and stories I would tell you... You understood my tough love and sarcasm so well. I know you are now up there with Mom flying high. Just want you to know that what you were asking for might become reality real soon. I know you know what I’m talking about. I love you brother bear Mono.

I thank God for making you my big brother. I will cherish the memories of you showing me how to work out and how to be confident in myself. I will just miss hanging with you drinking some brews cracking jokes and grilling up some carne asada. I will miss you with all my heart and you will never be forgotten.
