Madeline Roybal

She was born in San Diego, CA, to Ignacio and Antonia Villalobos on October 11, 1936. Lived most of her life in National City. Married the love of her life Paul Roybal Sr in 1956 and had her only child Paul Jr Roybal in 1958.

Nena retired as a noon supervisor at Palmer Way Elementary after nearly 30 years. Since her love of children she was known for always taking in and caring for kids. She was very energetic and outgoing she loved music, dancing, gardening, and soaking up sun.

Nena will be deeply missed, she is survived by 3 sisters: Peter, Ruth, and Margie. 9 granddaughters and 24 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Madeline will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel National City, 607 National City Boulevard, National City, CA 91950. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Anthony of Padua, 410 W 18th Street, National City, CA 91950. A burial will occur Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego, CA 92102.
