JoAnn Wells

She moved to San Diego, California in 1956 where she met and married her husband, Donald E. Wells.

She worked for several years in the San Diego City school system as a secretary, an accountant and a librarian.

JoAnn was a loving person always known for her sense of humor and no-nonsense personality. She was always there for anyone giving advice and support. She always put the needs of others before her own.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph M. Wells. She will be cherished by her husband, Donald E. Wells, her children, Rhita Adams,

Donald Wells Jr., Dianne Wells, Robert Wells, Mary Wells Bennett, Patricia Wells Washington, and Brian Wells.

She will also be truly missed by her grandchildren, Donald E. Wells III,

Marcus Ligons, Melissa Bennett Cook, Kayla Washington, and Kara Washington, great grandchildren, Denaya Wells, Destiny Wells and Marcus Ligons Jr., her brother Michael Carter and sister Rosemary Davis.

She also has a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and can't say enough about how she affected their lives.

The family of JoAnn Wells is eternally grateful for all the kind expressions of love and sympathy extended to them during their time of bereavement. Your prayers and support have provided comfort and given strength for the journey.
