Amelia was born at Luakan, Dinalupihan, Bataan on September 14, 1951. She was the 4th child from the 11 children of Ismael Martin Nacu and Trinidad Tamayo-Sta. Ana Nacu. She was called as “Ate Puti” or “Ate Mely” by her families and friends. She graduated at Luakan Elementary School and Parisian Vocational school as dressmaker. She was married to Dante Reyes Cruz and was blessed with 6 children (Jennifer, Philip, Mark, Joseph, Anthony and Joanne).
On June 2008, she and her husband, together with Joanne, migrated to the United States, temporarily resided in San Diego, California, then finally, settled in Lake Elsinore.
She was diagnosed with hypertension and later on, developed Alzheimer's disease. Her disease became severe and brought several complications that were detrimental to her health.
She was survived by her husband (Dante), six children, twelve grandchildren and four siblings.
