Of all the friends I made in the Fil-Am the best were Albert Ignacio and Greg Caiga.    Albert because he gave instructions on how to answer job interviews regarding an Assistant director position, and Greg Caiga because he gave me information on accounting techniques for non-profit organizations.    Albert also was a good calm person as was Greg Caiga... may they both rest in peace.  Lita Ignacio, Albert's wife was very kind to Elena and me.... the best. God Bless! 

My dearest dad, 
     I'm so sorry that David,  Bailey,  and I can't say bye to you in person. To give you one more hug, one more kiss.  Please know I will always hold you in my heart and you will never be forgotten. 
     You were thr best dad ever! You were always loving, caring,  cool, laid back, and your long duddy jokes. You were so funny! Trying to make everyone laugh.  I'm gonna miss you so much!
     Thank you dad,  for all the memories you gave us.  You lived a long happy life. You accomplished 20 years in the navy, another 20 years as a postal clerk  and many years of being the best husband,  dad, grandfather, father in law, and great grandfather ever!

 Manong Albert Ignacio was a member and officer, as Auditor,  of  the Fil-Am Brotherhood Association in good standing.  Manong Albert and his wife Lita had been members  of the Fil-Am from 1993 to 2004.

Albert and Lita were  very active, attended all the meetings, and , activities such as visiting houses for socializing with other groups and organizations, also Albert love playing poker for his enjoyment and bonding with other members.

 Now both Albert and Lita are in heaven together.

Manong Albert and Manang Lita, we miss you, we love you.

Your memories will stay with us forever.  Thank you our dear friends.

We will forever and always remember your smiles.  We never saw you get angry,  you were always calm and happy: all the time! 

And, I remember you loved to teach dancing especially ballroom tango, cha-cha-cha  and line dancing. we missed all of those your jokes and we remember your patience.  we will miss you both.!!!   God Bless You!!!


Dear Uncle Albert,

You have not heard from me for quite a long time, as we lost contact since mama Zeny, your sister passed away. It’s been difficult to cope losing her. I can relate to my cousins, Maricel and Irene. I thought of visiting you and auntie, but it’s too late. I am very sad to hear about your demise. I remember when I was 10 years old you came and visited us in Manila and wanting to adopt me. I always dreamt of it growing up, but God had his own way. I was very happy you and auntie agreed to be one of my wedding sponsors in 2005. Even though mama was not able to attend, your presence was very meaningful. Uncle, I love you and I am so sorry that I will not be able to see you again, but my memory of you will linger on. You will always be a part of me and in my heart loving you  forever.

From day one Tatay has always been Tatay to us. We enjoyed the many outings shared with him and family and friends who are really family.  It breaks our hearts that we could not be there with him as he left this earth. But, we take solace in the thought that he knows we would have been by his side if we could.  We love you Tatay! My Memory of Dad
I could write a story,
It would be the greatest ever told of a kind and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, Uncle and husband.
Who had a heart of gold.

I could write a million pages
But still be unable to say just how
Much I love and miss him
Every single day.

I remember the first time I meet Dad/Uncle he treated me as his daughter on that first day. He always had a smile and a story to tell us. But most importantly what Dad loved to do the most is cook and feed all of us. My favorite was his arroz caldo. 
Dad also loved to dance. Oh how both him and Mom would just guild on the dance floors.
Dad's/Uncle's Pride and Joy was his family and extended family. Even when I moved away for many years and came back with my children. It was as if I never left. To my children there was never any question he was Grandpa to them.
Dad's heart and spirit was so strong, his dedication to his family and everything he did was an inspiration to me and so many. I can go on and on with all the stories about Dad.
He was the Best Dad, Uncle, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and husband.
I'm hearbroken but won't be sad, after all he is now dancing in Heaven with Mom.
And he'll always be my dad.

Albert Ignacio was one of my best friends.  I met him in the Fil-Am Brotherhood Association of San Diego County during the Fil-Am golden era in San Diego, a time for dancing,  traveling together, and a time to love and enjoy one another. Lita, his wife,  supported Albert in everything he wanted to do and she preceded him to heaven in 2016, a sad day for Albert and family and friends.  As for me I thanked him for his wise advise when he  told me how to answer questions for an interview for a position as Assistant Director of the Chicano Federation.  I accepted the position because of Albert's wisdom. The post office he worked in was near the Federation and instead of me sending one of the employees to pick up the mail for the Federation, I would go there just to see him, I would pickup the mail and he was always smiling and cheerful to see me. By the way he played poker with us at the Fil-Am Brotherhood and I did not mind losing to him as when he took my money he always smiled but in a nice way.  God bless Lita and Albert Ignacio and may God keep both of them them close to Him.   I think Albert maybe teaching ballroom dancing up there right now or he may be dancing the cha-cha-cha with Lita.  These two were inseparable and the best ever.
