WHEELER, William B. (Bill), age 89 of Nashville, TN, December 21, 2012. Preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Henrietta. Survived by daughters, Diane Sylvis, Melanie Wheeler (Paul Arnold); grandson, Michael Sylvis; great grandson, Hudson William Sylvis. A retired Metro Fire Captain, Engine 20, with 40 years of service, he was a World War II Army veteran. Bill was an avid reader, historian and enjoyed any outside activity. He was always available to help anyone in need and enjoyed visiting friends and neighbors. He formed many friendships at Cracker Barrel where he was a frequent customer. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 11 o’clock in the morning until services at 1 o’clock in the afternoon in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall.
