William Alvin "Al" Turner, age 69, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016. Al was born Sunday, March 23, 1947 in Nashville, Tennessee and is preceded in death by his parents, Lila Heckert and Hardy Alvin Turner, Sr., his brother, James Edward Turner.
Al was a US Marine veteran, serving three tours in Viet Nam; receiving two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He enjoyed target shooting, motor cycles,
Nascar and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margrieta "Margie" Grigans Turner; brothers, John David (Jan) Turner, Hardy Alvin (Jane Beth) Turner, Jr., and Gary Wayne Turner; along with several nieces and nephews.
Burial with military honors will be held 1:00 Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Hermitage Memorial Gardens 535 Shute Lane Old Hickory, Tennessee.
