Bill was born June 20, 1961 in Dallas, TX and lived and grew up in Richardson, TX. He was an adorable and entertaining younger brother to his two older siblings. He had a sharp wit and a fantastic sense of humor and made friends readily from a young age, maintaining close friendships from schooldays his entire life. A natural athlete, he excelled at football and golf, which he continued to play throughout his life. He was also gifted musically, playing the piano by ear though having never taken a lesson. He was a movie buff, a good pinochle player and he loved to cook. He also loved fishing and the outdoors and enjoyed many hours with his children camping in Poudre Canyon and fishing the Poudre River after moving to Fort Collins in the late 1990s. He was a Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns fan to the end. He spent his working life in various aspects of the food and beverage service industry until being forced into early disability retirement due to his diagnosis in 2015 of frontal temporal dementia.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Thanksgiving Square in downtown Dallas on Saturday April 29th at 5:00pm with a reception to follow in the Hall of Thanks-Giving downstairs from 6:00 to 7:00. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Mind What Matters (wearemindwhatmatters.org) or Restoration House program at CrossBridge (crossbridgeinc.org).
