Born in Nashville on November 2, 1939 to William Timothy and Zella (Kennedy) Carroll, Sr., he graduated from West High School and Vanderbilt University School of Engineering where he attained his PhD in Structural Engineering and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
After graduation he worked at Ross Bryan Associates, Inc. and then started his own company, Computer Consultants, Inc.
He was a loving husband, a caring and devoted father, a doting grandfather, a devoted friend, and a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.
He was an active member of Christ Presbyterian Church for over 30 years.
Tim was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Deanne Sumner Carroll in 2014. He is survived by three daughters, Maria Carroll Jernigan and husband Dan of Nashville, Deanne Carroll Ryan and husband Scott of Salina, KS, and Katherine Carroll Britt and husband Steve of Austin, TX; and his eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Grace and Timothy Jernigan, Collister and William Ryan, and Boaz, Zella and Bishop Britt.
Visitation will be held from 5 -8 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Marshall Donnelly Funeral home 201 25th Ave. N., Nashville. The family will have a private burial followed by a Memorial service that will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 27, in the chapel at Christ Presbyterian Church.
