Virginia June Richmond - Born on the 3rd of August 1927 in Bradley County, TN to the late James and Ruby Poteet, and passed away on the 19th of February 2014 in Nashville, TN at the age of 86. June was a 1945 graduate of Bradley Co. High School, and a long-time member of Vultee Church of Christ and current member of Smith Springs Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Ricky Richmond. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 68 years, Winston B. Richmond; son, Gerald (Lynn) Richmond; daughter, Brenda C. Richmond; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. The family will gather with friends at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Saturday, the 22nd of February 2014 beginning at ten o'clock up until the time of service to be held at eleven-thirty with Dr. Carl McKelvey officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park's Field of Honor. Grandsons and great-grandsons to serve as Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Church of Christ Disaster Relief.
