Velma Faye Freels, age 74, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015. Born Wednesday, October 16, 1940 she is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice Matthews Craig and husband, Arthur Freels.
A home maker, Mrs. Freels is survived by her children, Katherine Lowe, Janice Matthews, Linda Windom, Tommy Lassiter, Calvin Ray Lassiter; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015, in the chapel of Eastland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Freels at a visitation, Wednesday, September 23, 2015, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Eastland Funeral Home, 904 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Eastland Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
