Born in Nashville, TN to the late Mavis B. (Ewing) and Gary Taz Stevens, Jimmy is also preceded in death by his son James "Tony" Stevens and sister Robbie Peddycoart. He is survived by his daughter Amanda (Stevens) Ward (Eric) and their children Preston, Zariah, Andre & Naomi; son Randy Dewayne Stevens and his children; sisters Stella Kyzer and Julia Doyle; many beloved nieces, nephews, other extended family and dear friends.
Jimmy was a gifted painter and “Jack-of-all-Trades”. He served Nashville through the years with his expertise in painting homes, including faux finishing and drywall applications. His friendly nature made him very popular among his friends and strangers alike. Jimmy endured difficult challenges in his life with grace and determination. He took pride in his work and enjoyed keeping busy. Twenty grandchildren and counting, kept Jimmy’s heart full of love. He had a great sense of humor, he was caring and had a tender heart.
Visitation with the family of Jimmy Stevens will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service officiated by Minister Ronnie Binkley, to begin at 12:00 p.m., all at Eastland Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 904 Gallatin Rd., Nashville, TN.
