Thomas Jacob Wise Sr., age 91, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee. Thomas was born to the late Milton Willis and Alta Raye (Garrison) Wise on July 17, 1931 in Flippin, Arkansas.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce Marie (Toombs) Wise; son, Jay Wise Jr.; grandchildren, Jayke Wise III, Ronnie Wise Jr., Sydnee Wise, A.J. Wise, Taustin Wise, Ally Wise, Tad Dalton, Afton Brown; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Hazel Payne.
Beside his parents Thomas is preceded in death by his son, Ron Wise Sr.; siblings, Jack Wise, Freddie Buterbaugh, WIllie Mai LaFevor, and Frank Vantrease, grandparents, Jacob George and Anna Mai (Hinderliter) Wise Thomaa Ephraim and Elizabeth Bettie (Winfree) Garrison.
A gathering of family & friends for Thomas will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 11:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 LEBANON PIKE, NASHVILLE, TN 37210, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM.
