T. Morton McKnight, age 90, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Nashville, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012. Mr. McKnight was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Clara Zumbro McKnight. He is survived by his sons, Dr. David McKnight and his wife, Jennifer of Murfreesboro, and Karl McKnight of Franklin; his daughter, Carolyn Langdon and her husband, Rick of Four Oaks, NC; sister, Whyte McKnight Givan and her husband John; grandchildren, Lindsey Vartanian and her husband, Lee, Hannah and Audrey McKnight, Graham Langdon and his wife Sarah, and Kyle and Zach Langdon; and one great granddaughter, Norah Vartanian. Funeral services will be at half past Eleven the morning of Monday, September 10, 2012 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with Dr. Dean Sisk officiating. Final placement will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Mr. McKnight was raised in the Porterfield Community of Cannon County and graduated from Cannon County High School. Following his high school education, he attended and graduated from Duke University. He also served in the US Navy, during WWII. For many years he was an account executive with R.T. French Company and then with R.L. Polk Company. Mr. McKnight was a 35 year member of Una Baptist and was currently a member of Belle Aire Baptist and resident of Sunnington Assisted Living in Murfreesboro. In lieu of customary floral tributes, memorials may be made to the Belle Aire Benevolent Fund at Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
