He was preceded in death by his father Thomas J Haile Jr., mother, Mary Sample Haile Edwards; sisters, Elaine Haile Robertson, Nan Haile Callaway; niece, Elaine Callaway McWilliams.
He is survived by his wife Devona Haile, step-son, Mark Harman; nieces and nephews, Nan Robertson Clarke (Hal), Brison Robertson (Patty), James Callaway Jr (Rebecca), Thomas Callaway (Joyce), Michael Callaway (Carolyn), Mary Catherine Callaway; twelve great nieces and nephews.
Thomas was in Naval Reserves 1945 - 1946. He graduated Vanderbilt School of Engineering 1949.
Services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Paul deGraffenreid officiating.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment will follow at the Historic Mount Olivet Cemetery.
