April 25, 1943 - November 12, 2014
Susan was born to Beatrice Frady King and Clyde (Jack) Edward King during WWII
while herfather was serving in the Pacific Theater for the US Army Air Force.
She graduated withhonors from Central High School in 1961 and attended
Middle Tennessee State Universitywhere she was captain of the rifle team.
Susan worked in a variety of positions at various organizations
including the Methodist Publishing House, retiring from Vanderbilt University Medical Center
biochemistry department after more than 30 years of service.
Susan enjoyed expressing her creativity through jewelry making, crocheting, and painting.
She was active in the Robertson County Republican Women and the Robertson County
Republican Party. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Joelton and after moving to
Springfield became a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Susan is predeceased by her parents and by her husband LeRoy Emerson Heaver.
She is survived by Daughter, Laura Hein McElduff and son-in-law
Michael F. McElduff (Northvale,NJ) and grandchildren Kaelin & Kieran;
Son, Daniel E. Heaver and daughter-in-law Jamie Hilliard Heaver (Cedar Hill, TN)
and grandchildren Elijah & Samuel; brother, Richard E. King and sister-in-law Carole King (Whites Creek, TN)
and niece and nephew, April King McCool and Brad King; Aunt Mary Frady Swafford and many cousins.
Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at one o'clock in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall.
Gathering of family and friends will be from eleven o'clock until the service time
on Saturday, at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
