Mr. McClanahan was born in Nashville, TN, on November 25, 1950, the son of the late William McClanahan and Thelma Davis McClanahan. He attended Axis Church and was self-employed as a Property Manager. Mr. McClanahan graduated from the University of TN. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing golf, and spending time with family.
Survivors include a son, Stephen McClanahan, Jr. (Christy); a daughter, Shawn McClanahan; three grandchildren, Hendrix, Cooper, and Riley McClanahan; and two brothers, Dr. William McClanahan, Jr. (Susie) and Robert McClanahan (Susan).
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015, at two thirty in the afternoon, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday from one o’clock until the funeral hour at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton-Funeral Home.
