Shirley Marie Shockney A loving wife, mother and grandmother - Shirley was born October 26, 1936 in Nashville, Tennessee. She passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 83 years of age. Shirley was the daughter of Decatur Franklin Standley and Lora May Deason Standley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Wayne Shockney, Sr.; daughter Lori Elizabeth Shockney; daughter-in-law, Linda Lorene "Sweetie" Shockney; brothers and sisters, Dorothy (Kenneth, Sr.) Butner, Patricia Ann (Everett) Mack, Joseph (Faye) Standley, Thomas Gary Standley and Decatur Franklin Standley, Jr.
Shirley is survived by her two sons, Donnie and Patrick Shockney; granddaughters, Samantha Shockney and Lora (Alvin) Yates; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Devon, Casey and Dean; by brothers and sisters, William (Patricia) Standley, James (Barbara) Standley, David (Darlene) Standley, Michael Anthony Standley, Mary Frances (Charles) Benedict, Jean (Paul) Hendricks; many beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 noon Monday, March 9, 2020 at Saint Edwards Catholic Church with Father Daniel Reehil officiant. Interment will follow at the Historic Mount Olivet Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers Alvin Yates, Austin Blansett, Steve Standley, Gary Standley, Tony Standley and DJ Lisch.
Visitation will be held at Mount Olivet Funeral Home on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
