Surviving are two sons, Travis Wayne Foster and Scott Allen (Sandy) Foster; grandchildren, Luke Allen Foster and Emily Rose Foster; brothers, Roy “Buster” (Nina) Singleton, Jimmy (Jo Ellen) Singleton, and Don (Shirley) Singleton; and one brother-in-law, Donald (Jan) Foster.
Preceding Betsy in death is her husband, Travis “Ray” Foster; her parents; and one sister, Dorothy (Melvin) Agee.
Betsy attended Tennessee Tech University where she received her Bachelor’s degree, and Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College where she received her Master’s degree. Betsy was an elementary school teacher, and she spent half of her career at DuPont Elementary School and the other half at Johnson Elementary School.
A Charter Member of Pennington Bend Church of Christ, Betsy was faithful to her church and her faith.
A family only Graveside Celebration of Life will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
