“Luci” Ruby G. Burr, 81 of Brentwood passed away on Sept 8, 2019 surrounded by her family after a battle with colon cancer. She fought a good fight, she finished the race, and remained faithful till the end. She attended Locust Grove School and Central High School in Cookeville. She was an executive secretary for many years working for Daniel Standards, Kentucky Fried Chicken with Mr. Jack Massey and John Y. Brown and Mister Transmission. She later became a real estate broker and was a member of the 100% club and received many Awards of Excellence for 37 yrs until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Ruby Mae Gragg, brother Chuck Gragg and sister Janie McDonald. She is survived by her husband Don Burr, her son Karl (Lisa) Burr, daughter Kimberly (Mike) Butler granddaughters Rachael (Michael) Norris, and Natalie Burr, grandsons Rhett Butler and Blake Butler, great granddaughter Rowan Norris, sister Evelyn Willison and brother Jerry Gragg. There will be a visitation on Wednesday Sept 11 from four o’clock until eight o’clock pm and on Thurs, Sept 12 from noon until service time at one pm with Celebration of Life services at one pm at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
