DUCKLO, Rosemary Williams, after a courageous battle with declining health, went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2013. She was 96 years old. A gentle kind woman who always put her family first. Rosemary was born on October 31, 1916 in Newport, KY. She met and married Robert L. Ducklo, he husband of 59 years, in Cincinnati, OH and they moved their family to Nashville in 1953. Bob preceded her in death in 1997. Rosemary enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and being around her family and friends. She was always full of energy which allowed her to juggle numerous projects at the same time. Her family was always in awe of her ability to never slow down even into her later eighties and early nineties. Her spirit was and still an inspiration to them. Rosemary is survived by her children: Pat Gorham Heckman, Dr. Robert L. Ducklo Jr. (Babs), Memphis; Kathy Nourse, Naples, FL; Rosemary Sexton (Glenn), Dr. Tommy J. Ducklo (Beth), Dr. James L. Ducklo (Amy). Grandchildren: Dr. Matt Gorham (Martha), Karen Ableman (Randy), Miami, FL: Bobby Gorham (Catherine), Birmingham, AL; Tee Gorham (Dawn), Robert Ducklo, Matt Ducklo, Memphis, TN; Mike Nourse (Stacey), Mark Nourse (Angie), Naples, FL; Joe Nourse (Ikuko), Asugi, Japan; Molly Mervis (Mike), Memphis, TN; Kathy Wirth (Tim), Glenda Dahlhauser (Paul), TJ Ducklo, Washington, DC; Kayla Ducklo, Nichole Ducklo, and Ben Ducklo. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Mary Queen of Angels and West Meade Place for their loving attention and warmth. Visitation will be at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home from 4-8 PM on Monday, April 15th. Requiem Mass and Service will be at Christ The King Catholic Church, Belmont Blvd, On Tuesday April 16th at 10:30 AM with visitation a half hour before. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
