(born William Ronald Warmack) — Age 77. May 16, 2023. Preceded in death by parents George and Charlotte Johnsonius Fox. Born in Paris, TN on March 12, 1946, attended Stokes Elementary School in Nashville and graduated from Hillsboro High School. Served at Offutt Air Force Base for the Strategic Air Command, honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force in 1973. Received a B.A. and M.F.A. in fine arts from Middle Tennessee State University, and earned gemologist and diamond appraiser certificates from the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, CA. Designed jewelry in Minneapolis before serving many years as the lead retail bench jeweler at the Gold Rush Jewelry shops in Murfreesboro, TN. In 2005, relocated to Bothell, WA, where he enjoyed fishing in rivers across Washington, Idaho and Oregon, restoring a 1967 Mustang, and crafting jewelry at his home jewelry bench. Survived by brothers George J. Fox of Stamford, CT, David A. Fox (Carrington) of Nashville, nephews Aaron, Matthew, Benjamin, Oscar, Julius and Simon Fox. Sincerest appreciation to Frank Daley for his close friendship with Ron and, along with wife Gale Daley, for their devoted care of Ron over the past six months. Private memorial for family to be scheduled. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peterson Foundation for Parkinson’s.
