Robert F. “Daddy Bob” Spann Age 83, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015. Mr. Spann was an attorney and began practice in 1969. He attended Donelson High School, Peabody College and YMCA Night Law School. He was a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association. He was a lifelong member of Arlington Methodist Church and a member of the choir since 1952. He was preceded in death by parents, J. Arthur Spann and Lena L. Spann; brothers, John A. Spann, Jr., William C. Spann, Sr., and Juan W. Spann; and sister, Juanita S. Lundborg. He is survived by wife, Polly A. Spann; daughters, Jenny Day (Wayne) and Debi Mason (Joey); grandchildren, Heather Bergeron (John Proctor) and Eric Bergeron; and great-grandsons Aubrey and Anderson Proctor. Visitation will be held at Arlington Methodist Church in Nashville, TN on Friday, January 23, 2015 from one o’clock until two-thirty followed by a Celebration of Life Service, also at the church. Honorary pallbearers will include Jim Benson, Jim Midgett, Bruce Ware, Ron Jackson, Paul Rutherford, Robert Rutherford, Tony Banniza, and Lemar McCoy. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Arlington Methodist Church.
