He was the 10th child of Rasmus T. Rasmussen and Ethel Timmerman Rasmussen.
Survived by his wife of 70 years Anne and 2 daughters, Dana Tattrie and Kristy Dodson. His son Robert Jr (Robbie) passed away February 19, 2019.
Also, survived by his brother, Henry (Margaret) from Richardson, Texas. He was predeceased by his 9 brothers and sisters, father and mother.
Hampy has 7 grandchildren, Cori, Casey, Will, Taylor, Matthew, Danielle and Mark and 9 great grandchildren, Aydan, Aleah, Darby, Raegan, Isaiah, Aubri, Maceo, Nova and Piper.
He was raised on a farm south of Plainview and served in the Army from December 1950-1953. The last 2 years of his service were spent at Fort Campbell, Kentucky as a trained paratrooper with the Medical Battalion of the 11th Airborne.
