GILLIAM, Robert M. “Bob”-age 84 of Nashville died at the home of his daughter on Christmas Day 2012 in The Woodlands, Texas. Bob was born in Idabel, Oklahoma in 1928. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and a 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF during the Korean Conflict. Bob served in several capacities with the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce. He diligently worked for the Tennessee Bankers Association for 33 years, retiring in 1992 as Executive Vice President, after retirement he was retained as a consultant for several years. A Christian Gentleman, Bob served in various administrative and financial capacities at both Woodmont Baptist Church and Forest Hills Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Dr. Norris and Mary Ballard Gilliam. Survived by his loving wife, Roselyn Strong Gilliam, son and daughter, Robert Marshall Gilliam and Marilyn G. Latimer, their respective spouses, Judy Gilliam and Chris Latimer, his grandchildren, Stephanie, Merideth, Clay, Katie, Eric, Rosie, and four great grandchildren. A hunter, angler, carpenter, gardener, and a family man, Bob was a friend to all that knew him. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at Forest Hills Baptist Church.
