Richard Russell Sr., age 69, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on March 20, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on March 30, 1955, in Nashville to the late Vernon and Ophelia Russell, Richard lived a life filled with kindness, compassion, and a deep love for his family.
Richard was a man of many talents and a heart of gold. From his work as a truck driver to his involvement in building structures around Nashville, he touched many lives with his hard work and dedication. He had a deep passion for Nascar and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. However, his greatest legacy will be the care and support he gave to those around him—always willing to lend a hand without hesitation.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Russell, and is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judy Russell Hernandez and Luis Hernandez, and his son, Richard Russell Jr.. Richard is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jerrika Huoth, Chanda Huoth, Mia Hernandez, Lyna Huoth, and Tida Huoth, as well as his great-grandchildren, Soriya Grant, Victoria Hernandez, Julian Huoth, and Javier Arzarte.
Richard's warm heart and generous spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
