Nashville musician Richard “Pat” Patrick passed away on June 16, 2015. A graduate of Julia Green, Montgomery Bell Academy and Vanderbilt University, Pat began professionally entertaining at age 15. Pat enjoyed a widely successful career as a well-known composer, producer, songwriter, performer, maestro, and recording artist. He was nominated for Grammy Awards, received multiple Addy Awards, and earned over 30 platinum records. His premier show-band, The Pat Patrick Band, comprised of top Nashville musicians, has been invited to bring their unique and energetic performance all over North America and beyond. Pat is survived by Dr. Elizabeth Cato and family; daughters Mary Wallace Patrick Broome (Matthew) and Ellie Patrick Lovvorn (Jeb); and grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from four to seven o’clock in the evening. A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 19, 2015 at eleven-thirty in the morning, with visitation an hour prior at the church. Interment to take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service. Honorary pallbearers include the SAE Brotherhood, The Pat Patrick Band, and the MBA Class of 1965. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kathleen Patrick Hughes Endowed Scholarship in Education, University of Alabama College of Education, Box 870231, Tuscaloosa, AL, 35487-0231.
