Randall Taylor Scott “Randy”, age 60, of Brentwood, Tennessee passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023. Randy was born to the late Jack Davidson and Wanda Martin Scott on April 17, 1963 in Atlanta, Georgia. He moved with his family to Brentwood, Tennessee in 1974.
Randy was a lifelong Methodist and a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church. He loved playing Chinese checkers with his grandmother. Randy liked to swim, fish, ride his bicycle, and go to the beach. One of his favorite things to do was to listen to music, with Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston being among his favorite artists. He was also a big sports fan. He attended many Brentwood High School sporting events, once earning a page in their annual as their “Biggest Fan.” He followed college football and basketball. He energetically cheered for Pat Summitt and the Lady Vols. He participated in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and was a member of Hammond Hills Swim Team in Atlanta. Randy was very friendly, loved everyone he met, and especially loved his nieces and nephews. He had a profound impact on those who loved him and created cherished memories. He will be tremendously missed.
Randy was survived in death by his brother, Allen L. (Patsy) Scott, of Brentwood, TN; sisters, Carol S. (Rick) Sneed and Nancy S. Taylor, both of Franklin, TN; nephews, David Scott and Thomas Scott, both of Nashville, and Scott Taylor, of Arizona; nieces, Laura S. (Jimmy) Walsh, of South Carolina, Kelsey Sneed, of North Carolina, and Stephanie T. (Rob) Taber, of Massachusetts; great-nephew James Walsh and great-niece Ada Walsh, both of South Carolina.
Other than his parents, Randy was preceded in death by grandparents: L. Neal and Vivian T. Smith, of Atlanta, Georgia, and James L. and Bessie E. Scott, of Augusta, Georgia; brother-in-law: Robert D. “Bob” Taylor, of Brentwood, TN; niece: Jacqueline M. Taylor, of Brentwood, TN.
A private, family graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Woodlawn
Memorial Park, Berry Hill, Tennessee.
