Polly attended John Overton High School and graduated in 1975. She was elected “Most Concerned” as a senior class superlative and was president of Theta Omega Sorority. Polly attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where she was a little sister of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
Polly had several careers after college which included positions in insurance, Richardson Independent School District and as office manager of several non-profit organizations in Nashville.
Polly was active in the Junior League as a member in Chattanooga, Richardson TX, where she served as president, and as a Sustainer in the Nashville League.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Charlotte Ann Fulbright. She is survived by her husband, Tad; daughter, Angela Leigh Tucker (James) of Lafayette, GA; son, Coty Hampton (Danielle) of Lafayette, GA; sister, Sally Tucker (Joe) of Charleston, SC. Polly had nine wonderful grandchildren she loved dearly, Ethan, Malachi and Kaylee Wallin; Chloe and Allen Tucker; Houston, Bradlee, Dallas and Henley Irvin. And a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial reception will be held at the Irvin’s home in Culleoka on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 11am until 3pm. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Crossroad Pets of Nashville, Thistle Farms or a preferred charity of choice.
