Philena L Taylor

Philena L Taylor, age 92, of Donelson, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. She was born on July 13, 1932 in Nashville, TN to her parents Robert E and Elanor Marie Schutt Lee who preceded her in death.

Philena was a retired Elementary Education Teacher in Sumner County, teaching the 3rd grade her whole career. She was a member of and instrumental in the establishment of Lakewood Baptist Church in Donelson. She was a wonderful woman who will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert & Elanor Lee, by her loving husband Arthur Taylor and her son James Robert Taylor, by her brother Robert "Bobby" (Ruth) E. Lee, by her half-brother Charles Edward Lee and sister Roberta.

Philena is survived by her brother Frank (Martha) Lee, her Granddaughter Jennifer, and by Great Grandchildren, and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.

A Gathering of Family & Friends for Philena will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138, followed by a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
