Paula was a true Nashville native. She was born on September 20th, 1955 to Mary Ann and Charles Clinton of Nashville, TN. After graduating from Saint Bernard Academy in 1973, she started her career in the medical supply industry. In her 46-year career, Paula was a purchasing agent at Parks, Inc. for over 20 years and then went on to work with National Distribution and Contracting, Inc. until her retirement in November 2019.
Paula had a large circle of friends with whom she loved to travel to Florida's white sandy beaches, visit the exciting, bright lights and sounds of the casinos, and gather with her Bunko crew monthly for Bunko Night. She was an avid sports fan. Paula loved her sports teams, the Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Tennessee Vols. She most enjoyed visiting her favorite establishments with friends and family to enjoy a cold Bud Light bottle(s) and cheer on her teams.
Paula loved her family dearly and they were her absolute joy. She was the best aunt to her niece and nephews. She acted as a second mom to them and treated and loved them like they were her own. Paula and her sister, Ann Clare, were very close and had a loving bond they both cherished. She was her sister’s best friend. Paula was always there for her sister to love and support her.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ann and Charles Clinton. She is survived by her sister, Ann Clare Shelton, nephews, Stephen “Zeus” Williams (Holly), Jude Williams, and Tyler Shelton, niece, Jordan Williams, great nephew, Charlie Williams, godchild, Jessi Young (Alexa)
A Celebration of Life was held at Joe’s Place on Sunday, October 29th from 11:30 am – 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nashville Humane Association or Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue.
